Abstract : The aim of the current research is to identify the relationship between identification with all of humanity and self-efficacy among a number of volunteer doctors in the ranks of soldiers fighting against the terrorist organization ISIS. They numbered (150) male volunteers working in government hospitals in the southern cities of Iraq. Two measures were used, one of which is to measure identification with all humanity, it consists of (11) items, and the other scale measures the effectiveness of the self and included (10) items prepared by Schwarzer 1993, and an alpha stability factor was calculated for the scale of identification with all humanity, and reached (0.85) and for the effectiveness scale Self reached (0.79). The results showed that Iraqi doctors from the southern provinces have a high level of identification with all of humanity, they have high effectiveness, and I concluded that there is a correlation between identification with all of humanity and the effectiveness of self among volunteer doctors.

Abstract : In this study, manual wheelchair responses to different surface types are investigated. For this purpose, a measurement arrangement which consists of arduino UNO and MPU 6050 are utilized. A visual basic code specialized for remotely obtaining the data are written and used. Two significant points are elected for sensor fixation which is located in the front and back axles of the wheelchair which weighs 50 kg; subject and propulsion speed of 0.12 m/s. Time is used for measuring and analyzing acceleration, velocity and displacement. Rotation components in x, y, z coordinate roll, Based on the results, the main vibration will be in the vertical axis and in the rough road surface.

Abstract : Ankylosing Spondylitis is a chronic inflammatory rheumatic disease with various extra-articular manifestations such as uveitis, renal, cardiac, and pulmonary manifestations. A cross-sectional study was conducted at the Rheumatology Unit in Baghdad Teaching Hospital, during the period from September 2018 to March 2019. Patients who had Ankylosing spondylitis were enrolled in the study. Renal ultrasonography was performed for all participants. Renal stone was observed in 10% of patients. Disease duration was significantly higher in patients with renal stone than those without renal stone (P = 0.0001). Both BASDAI and BASFI scores were significantly higher in Ankylosing Spondylitis patients with renal stone compared to those without renal stone (P = 0.0001). There was no significant difference in terms of serum calcium, ESR level and therapeutic features between patients with renal stone and those without stone. Renal stones were found to exist in AS patients. Ankylosing Spondylitis patients with long disease duration and higher values of BASDAI and BASFI scores are more susceptible to renal stones..

Abstract : Obesity may affect the respiratory functions in many ways. The adipose tissue deposited around the rib cage, abdomen and visceral cavity affects work of breathing and reduces the pulmonary functions. There are different tests to measure lung function or pulmonary function known as pulmonary function tests. To determine the relation between body mass index and lung functions in obese and overweight children with Down syndrome. A cross-sectional study design was directed to 30 normal children and 60 children with Down syndrome (30 with obesity and 30 with overweight range), aged 7 - 9 years. Body mass index and lung function (spirometry) were evaluated. There was no significant differences between groups concerning the reference values of lung functions. Moreover, there was a negative correlation between BMI and lung functions in the chosen age group children with Down syndrome. Overweight and obese children with Down syndrome demonstrated similar values of lung volume and capacity as normal children. Thus, anthropometric measures and body composition characteristics may not be prognostic features for changed lung function.

Abstract : Nasopharyngeal carcinoma (NPC) is commonly known to metastasized to bone, liver and lung. Nevertheless, distant metastasis of NPC to subglottis is extremely rare. We report a case of such disease in a 45 year-old lady with underlying NPC who presented with hoarseness, dyspnea and stridor after 6 years of treatment. Tracheostomy was done to relieve the distress and direct laryngoscopy revealed a subglottic mass with anterior extension to the neck. Histological and immunohistochemical analyses of subglottic specimen confirmed it is nasopharyngeal in origin.
