Abstract : To study clinical profile of patients with ludwigs angina and their treatment at tertiary care hospital. A prospective study of patients presenting to Dr.D.Y.Patil Medical college, pimpri a tertiary care hospital was carried out for two years from September 2018 to August 2020. Out of 25 patients with ludwigs angina there was female preponderance with most common presenting age group between 21 to 40 years of age most commonly presenting with a neck swelling with diabetes mellitus as most common comorbidity and odontogenic being the most common etiology. Ludwigs angina being an emergency and life threatening condition must be immediately diagnosed clinically and radiologically particularly in patients with Diabetes mellitus and started on broad spectrum antibiotics with or without surgical intervention to prevent any life threatening complication.
