Title
:
Comparison between Open Surgery versus Endovenous Laser Ablation for treatment of varicose veins- a prospective study
Abstract
: Ultrasound-guided foam sclerotherapy (UGFS), radiofrequency ablation (RFA), and endovenous laser therapy are all minimally invasive treatments for large saphenous varicose veins (EVLT). When compared to flush saphenofemoral ligation with stripping, also recognised as open surgery or high ligation and stripping (HL/S), the proposed advantages include fewer complications, accelerated return to work, improved quality of life (QoL) scores, reduced need for general anaesthesia, and comparable recurrence rates.
