Title
:
Complex Psychomotor Evaluation of Functional Asymmetry in Young People
Abstract
: Formation of manual functional asymmetry in human is considered in connection with adaptation to Earth's gravity in the process of development and functioning in typical conditions of bipedal locomotion. To identify the forms of manual asymmetry a comprehensive test based on "Archimedean spiral" modeling derived from the gravitational vertical of movements "right to left", "left to right", "top-down" and "bottom-up" directions, and modified proofreading test were developed. Targets for both tests are performed consequently with right and left hand. Basic and transitional forms of manual asymmetry were identified - from sinestrality to dextrality and the probable direction of their transformation was shown. General orientation of these transformations – dextrality is determined by adaptation to living space, oriented to right-handedness
