Abstract : Cancer is a term for disease in which abnormal cells divide without control and can invade nearby tissues. Most of the newly recorded cases of gastric cancer are from Asian and South American countries. In modern days, cancer treatment is more focused on creating drugs from organic compounds with low side effects than chemotherapy and radiotherapy. In Mongolia, many medicinal plants’ anti-cancer effect has been studied. Thus, we aimed to study one of the main components of the Ranunculus repens L.’s effect on the gastric and colorectal cancer cell line. Ranunculus repens L. plant extracts and fractions of 10 types on gastric tumor AGS and colon and rectal tumor HCT116 cell line were studied. The effect of dichloromethane fraction of Ranunculus repens L. plant to inhibit the growth of gastric tumor AGS linear cells was studied at doses of 25 μg/ml, 50 μg/ml, 100 μg/ml, and 300 μg/ml 3 times for 24 hours, and IC50 was calculated from the results. The dichloromethane fraction of the Ranunculus repens L. of gastric cancer AGS cell line was studied in a dose-dependent manner. At a dose of 300 μg/ml, it inhibited the growth of tumor cells more actively than other doses or by 42.19% (p>0.05). Ranunculus repens L. plant dichloromethane fraction inhibited the growth of gastric cancer AGS linear cells, and chloroform fraction inhibited the growth of colon and rectal tumor HCT116 linear cells, respectively, and it was found to be active in reducing of tumor cell migration.
