Title
:
Indoor air pollution among the indigenous population
Abstract
: One cannot escape spending most of their time and completed their daily routine activities indoor. People think that in comparison with outdoor air quality, indoor is cleaner. All people regardless of where they live shared the same understanding about indoor air quality, including the indigenous people who we know lived at the margin of society. Given that they still use conventional method for cooking and heating, indigenous people may have omitted crucial information regarding the harmful impacts of indoor air pollutants, particularly the byproducts of solid fuel combustion. Combustion products, chemicals, radon, and biological products are the four main types of indoor air pollutants. This review focuses on indoor air pollutants, which are currently becoming a global public health issue. It concentrates on the lifestyle of indigenous people around the world and the detrimental impact of these pollutants on their health.
