Abstract : This research evaluates the prevalence of PTSD in practicing physicians, and assesses how PTSD influences the work performance of the affected subject. A cross-sectional study was conducted from July 2018 to September 2018 (2 months). The study wear conducted in NKPSIMS &LMH &Research Centre, Nagpur. The prevalence of PTSD in this study is 15.54% (Female 7.4% and Male 8.1%) 15.2% of physicians mentioned that their work performance was being hampered by moderate to severe levels because of the stress they experienced. The findings of this study indicate that Health professionals should be aware of the harmful effects of critical incidents that could cause impairment in social, occupational, or other important areas of functioning.
