Abstract : This observation was done to observe the prevalence of Acid-Fast Bacilli (AFB) in District Kohat, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pakistan. Cross sectional retrospective study was conducted. This examination was done in District Health Quarter Hospital Kohat. Information was gathered by age, sexual orientation and sputum smear result. The investigation time frame was from August 2017 to December 2017. One Hundred and Sixty six (166) patients were remembered for this examination. Among these 166 patients, 72 patients (43.37%) were females in which 39 (54.16%) containing disease and 94 patients (56.62%) were males in which 38 (40.42%) were AFB positive. High prevalence was recorded in female 54.16 % (39/72) than male 40.42% (38/94). High prevalence 63.15% (24/38) was observed in age varies from 5-20 year. In age 21-40 years 41.66% (25/60) were found positive while lowest 36.76% (25/68) was observed in age 41 years and above age. Sputum AFB has much enough in people of low financial group, in ladies and in grown-ups age. The patients put their kids and relatives in danger of TB disease. For the control of this illness early consideration and their treatment under administration is noteworthy.
