Abstract : To promote actionable for the mental health safety of newly birth parents, mental health education, screening, diagnosis, and intervention is an evidence-based obstetric practice. Screening new mothers and fathers for depression is growing evidence that is consonant with a family-centered care approach that serves the whole family This practice offers protocols for screening all newly birth fathers to identify fathers with symptoms of depression. It is now critical to recognize fathers at risk of depression following childbirth.
