THE ELDERLY PEOPLE'S ASSESSMENTS FOR CARE PROVIDED IN ELDERLY HOMES
Abstract
: Life satisfaction is a multidimensional issue that depends on many objective and subjective characteristics. The nursing care system is extremely complex to research because elderly peoples may not have access to the information needed to determine the potential quality of nursing care services before making a choice. To measure the assessment of older people for the care they receive in nursing homes and compare the assessment with the findings of other research from the literature to be used for this study. The study was prospective, transversal in the period July - October 2021 and included 105 elderly people, residents of nursing homes in Kosovo (Prishtina, Skenderaj, Gurrakoc and Istog). Data were collected with a questionnaire survey that included 18 questions. The obtained data were entered into the system and statistically processed in the SPSS program. The level of assessment for housing conditions among the elderly included in this research has generally been high with small exceptions when it has not been the maximum rating but slightly lower. There were not any negative response in terms of denial of care, quality of services or even general safety. The findings of this research show that the majority of residents in nursing homes who participated in the research, (52.4%) are very satisfied with the housing conditions.
