Abstract : The novel Coronavirus belongs to the RNA group of viruses, which was first seen in poultry in 1930s, that infects mammals and birds. Covid strains can cause upper respiratory tract infections and scientists all around the globe have worked day and night to provide a vaccine that acts well and efficiently against Covid-19. The Covid 19 outbreak was so fast and spread to such an extent all over the world that it was declared a global pandemic. Various scientists and physicians have collaborated and developed vaccines to put a stop to the spread of this virus. This review explains about the various kinds of vaccines that have been developed by different countries around the globe, their characteristics, effectiveness, as well as a description of the current manufacturing scales and distribution process throughout the world. The information addressed in this study will help to provide valuable knowledge to members of the dental community as well as researchers. It will also help provide a broad overview on the current vaccines being administered and their efficacy.
